David Pernock Chairman and
Chief Executive Officer
David Pernock, Chairman of the Board and
CEO, joined Fibrocell Science with extensive leadership
experience in healthcare sales and commercialization,
building business units, partnerships, and brands, most
recently as senior vice president, Pharmaceuticals,
Vaccines (Biologics), Oncology, Acute Care and HIV at
GlaxoSmithKline. Over a long career at GlaxoSmithKline,
Mr. Pernock was promoted numerous times to levels of
increasing responsibility including vice president of
Marketing, Pharmaceuticals; vice president of Sales and
Marketing, Oncology; vice president of Managed Care;
and, vice president of Sales. Mr. Pernock holds a BS in
Business Administration from Arizona State University.
He serves on many philanthropic organizations.
 
Declan Daly Director, Chief
Operating Officer and Chief Financial
Officer
Declan Daly was named Chief Operating Officer and Chief
Financial Officer of Fibrocell Science, Inc. in
September 2009. Prior to the reorganization of Isolagen,
Inc. as Fibrocell, he had served as Chief Executive
Officer of Isolagen. He originally joined Isolagen as
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice
President - Europe in June 2006, and was promoted to
Chief Operating Officer and CFO in June 2007. Prior to
joining Isolagen, Mr. Daly spent more than seven years
with Inamed Corporation and most recently served as CFO.
Prior to becoming CFO, Mr. Daly served as Inamed's
Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller and
Principal Accounting Officer, and previously as Vice
President of Finance & Administration of Inamed
International Corp. based in Europe. Mr. Daly holds a BA
in Management Science and Industrial Systems Studies
from Trinity College in Dublin and is a Fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
 
Paul A. Hopper Director
Paul A. Hopper is currently managing
director at the Los Angeles based investment bank
Cappello Group. With more than 20 years experience in
international public company markets - primarily in the
medical, healthcare and biotechnology sectors, Mr.
Hopper has focused much of his business efforts on
start-up and rapid-growth companies, and has served as
either chairman, CEO or non-executive director of
thirteen public companies in Australia, the United
States and Asia. In addition to his role as Chairman of
the oncolytic virus company Viralytics Ltd,, Mr. Hopper
is also a director of pSivida Corp, a drug delivery
company, and Somnomed Limited, which globally
manufactures and markets a dental device for sleep
disorders. Educated at The King's School, he holds a
degree in political science from The University of New
South Wales (B.A.), the Diploma from the Securities
Institute of Australia (A.S.I.A.) and has attended the
Harvard Business School advanced management program on
three occasions.
 
George J. Korkos, M.D., D.D.S., F.A.C.S.
Director
George J. Korkos currently serves as President of both
Plastic Surgery Associates and Rejuva Skin Care & Laser
Center (leaders in use of Botox® and fillers), each of which
is located in Waukesha, Wisconsin. He also presently serves
as Associate Clinical Professor at the Medical College of
Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Dr. Korkos was board certified in
plastic surgery in 1967 and recertified in 1978. He is or
has been a member of numerous prestigious medical societies,
is an experienced academic lecturer and author and has
presented on a variety of plastic and reconstructive surgery
topics at meetings of regional and national medical
associations. He has previously served as scientific
advisory board member to Cellgen Company, Sleep Holding
Company and Skin Visible Company. He also is Co-founder and
former Contact Director and Investor of the Milwaukee Bucks
Expansion Basketball Team, which won the National Basketball
Association championship in 1971 NBA Champions – three years
after the team’s creation. Dr. Korkos pursued undergraduate
studies at Marquette University, received his D.D.S. from
Marquette University School of Dentistry, his M.D. and
general surgery degrees from Medical College of Wisconsin,
and his degree in plastic and reconstructive surgery from
St. Louis University Medical School. He completed his
residencies and held fellowships at Medical College of
Wisconsin and St. Louis University Group of Hospitals.
 
Robert S. Langer, Sc.D Director
Robert S. Langer is an engineer and the
David Koch Institute Professor at the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology. He was formerly the
Germeshausen Professor of Chemical and Biomedical
Engineering and remains active in the department of
chemical engineering and the department of biological
engineering at MIT. He is also a faculty member of the
Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
Dr. Langer is a widely recognized and cited researcher
in biotechnology, especially in the fields of drug
delivery systems and tissue engineering. Dr. Langer's
research laboratory at MIT is the largest biomedical
engineering lab in the world. Dr. Langer is widely
regarded for his contributions to medicine and the
emerging fields of biotechnology. He is considered a
pioneer of many new technologies, including transdermal
delivery systems, which allow the administration of
drugs or extraction of analytes from the body through
the skin without needles or other invasive methods. He
is a prolific inventor and holds more than 750 granted
or pending patents. He has also authored more than 1,000
scientific papers and has participated in the founding
of multiple technology companies. He has received
numerous awards, including the National Medal of
Science, the Charles Stark Draper Prize, the
Lemelson-MIT Prize, the Albany Medical Center Prize in
Medicine and Biomedical Research and the Millennium
Technology Prize in 2008. Dr. Langer received his
bachelor's degree from Cornell University in chemical
engineering. He earned his Sc.D. in chemical engineering
from MIT in 1974.

Marc B. Mazur Director
Marc B. Mazur is the Chairman of
Elsworthy Capital Management Ltd., a London-based
European equity hedge fund with assets in excess of $100
mm. Most recently, he was the CEO of Brevan Howard U.S.
Asset Management, the U.S. arm of London-based Brevan
Howard, the largest hedge fund in Europe. Prior to
joining Brevan Howard, Mr. Mazur had been a senior
advisor to both Tsinghua Venture Capital Company (a
subsidiary of Tsinghua Holdings, the investment arm of
Tsinghua University in Beijing) and Think Equity
Partners LLC, a San Francisco investment bank focusing
on emerging growth companies in biotechnology, software
and greentech. A consultant and private investor, Mr.
Mazur has more than 25 years of experience in risk
management, business development and senior level sales
and marketing in the financial services and health care
fields. He began his career in 1984 at Salomon Brothers
in London as a Eurobond trader. In 1987 he joined
Goldman Sachs as a Vice President in the fixed income
division. He was employed by Goldman from 1987 through
1996 on a full-time basis and subsequently as a
consultant from 1997 through 1999. In 1997 Mr. Mazur
became an independent consultant, managing business
development opportunities in the financial services
sector for Goldman Sachs and leveraging his expertise in
risk and disease management for public and private
companies in the healthcare field. Continuing in
healthcare, in 1998 Mr. Mazur was named Vice President
for strategic business development at CareInsite
(subsequently acquired by WebMD). In 2001 Mr. Mazur
founded Ambassador Capital Group, a privately held
investment and advisory entity providing capital,
business development and strategic planning advice to
companies in the healthcare, financial services and real
estate fields. He has also been an active angel and
venture investor in numerous biotechnology and
healthcare device start-ups. Mr. Mazur is an active
member of numerous charitable and educational
organizations and has served as a board member and
advisory board member of numerous public and private
companies. He received his B.A. in political science
from Columbia University in 1981 and a J.D. from
Villanova University in 1984.

Kelvin D. Moore Director
Kelvin D.
Moore currently serves as consultant sales director for
Seaborne Group. He has extensive experience across
various sectors for businesses of all stages in project
leadership, business strategy, finance, business
consultancy, new ventures, management and executive
development. Mr. Moore holds a degree in geography and
pure mathematics and has participated in development
programs at London Business School, IMD (Switzerland),
Oxford University Business Summer School and Sundridge
Park Business School (UK). Mr. Moore has also worked
with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on
knowledge management initiatives.
